The news of the hour is that Ford is planning the “Reveal” of the 2015 Mustang on December 5th, 2013 in three locations around the United States; New York, Los Angeles and Dearborn. I was very proud to have received a call the other night from Ford inviting me and Cindy to the Los Angeles Reveal. We accepted and are planning to travel down to Los Angeles in the Black 1965 Mustang Restomod Coupe. Not that it will be used in the Reveal, mind you. We just love to drive it!
Working closely with so many people at Ford on the Mustang 50th has made me appreciate all of the time, effort and hard work that goes into an event like this and Cindy and I are looking forward to a great time. The Mustang Owners Club of California (MOCC) of which Cindy and I have been members of for many years will be providing around 10 club members Mustangs for a display, according to Craig Cunningham, MOCC President. I’m sure that many of the other local Mustang clubs will also provide many Mustangs too as Ford will pull out all the stops for an impressive display!
At the 2010 Mustang Reveal in November of 2008, Cindy and I were also invited and had a great time. Ford wanted one Mustang of every year and we took out 1984 1\2 G.T. 350 20th Anniversary Mustang Coupe down to Van Nuys, California as the 1984 model year.Cindy’s mother, Jane Crowden, brought her 1979 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car as the 1979 model year.Jane fell in love with the 2010 and ordered herself one as soon as sales started. We all had a wonderful time at the 2010 Mustang Reveal and I know that the 2015 Mustang Reveal will be even better! We can’t wait to go!
That’s all for now. I will be Blogging about the 2015 Mustang Reveal as soon as we get back so be sure to check it out after December 6th! In the meantime, I hope everybody has a very nice Thanksgiving and I wish you all safe travels!
