First 2015 Mustang Sold
All about the first 2015 Mustang sold!
First 2015 Mustang Sold at Barrett-Jackson and Mustangs Plus was there!
In 2003, the all-new 2005 Mustang was unveiled to the Mustang Nation and immediately became the poster child for a new generation of loyal Mustang enthusiasts. Following right along in it’s older brothers footsteps, or should I say tire tracks, the all new 2015 Mustang is creating the same “gotta have one!” feelings in a lot of Mustang enthusiasts that the 2005 Mustang created 10 years before. Evidence of that was the bidding on the first production 2015 Mustang to be offered for sale to the public at this years Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction on Saturday, January 18th, 2014.
The production of the first 2015 Mustang has not taken place yet so there was no 2015 Mustang for anyone to take home from the sale. What the bidders were bidding on was the purchase the first 2015 Mustang to be delivered to them when it’s produced later in the year.
The sale of the 2015 Mustang was scheduled to take place at 7:30 pm and that it did. When the hammer came down, Sam Pack of Farmers Branch, Texas, become the first 2015 Mustang owner with his high bid of $300,000.00. Ron Bramlett of Mustangs Plus has had the honor of being able to see the Sam Pack automotive collection and the first 2015 Mustang will fit right in.
With it’s production in the future, Sam Pack can be the first person to equip his 2015 Mustang exactly the way he wants it, in the colors and the options that he prefers. So, we still won’t know what the first 2015 Mustang will look like until later in the year! Make us proud, Sam!
It should also be noted that the sale of the first 2015 Mustang was one of several charity sales to raise money for worthy causes. Sam’s $300,000.00 are going to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), a Ford charity for diabetes research. As someone who lives with diabetes, I think it’s a very worthy cause indeed.
BJ-140439-2015 – A prototype 2015 Mustang sits on the turntable at the 2014 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction. I heard a lot of comments, all good and a lot about the independent rear suspension, which will be standard, all 2015 Mustang models.
BJ-193303_12 – The crowd went wild as the first ever sale of a 2015 Mustang was hammered down at Barrett-Jackson on Saturday, January 18th, 2014.
Sam Pack – In past years, Sam Pack has invited the Mustang Club of America’s National Board to hold their quarterly board meetings at his extensive museum. The first 2015 Mustang is headed there and will fit right in.
